Steelers vs Dolphins: My First Cover!

Sorry Steelers fans, I know you hate being reminded of the painful loss against Miami but for me, that was one of the most exciting days I've ever had.

When I was living in Pittsburgh a teacher recommended I do fan photography for the Steelers so I applied and got the job. It seemed like ages ago walking in with my little book and practicing what I wanted to say. I worked hard during my time there and was able to shoot on the field by my final year with them before relocating to Orlando for my internship with Disney.

One of my good friends mentioned that their photographer was willing to have help down in Miami for a game so of course I jumped on the opportunity. If I have learned anything in this business it's that your reputation is everything and one cannot afford to burn bridges because you never know where it may take you.

It was a completely different experience shooting the Steelers in Miami, the biggest being I was in shorts and not 6 layers of sweaters, my pockets stuffed with hand warmers so I could still click the shutter. Despite being a Buffalo fan I have nothing but the utmost respect for the Steelers organization and the opportunities they have given me. I would not be where I am today without them.

I was able to cross another life goal off my list and I had my first cover shot!

My very first cover!!

My very first cover!!

They even spelled it right! That's me!

They even spelled it right! That's me!

Thank you so much to the Steelers for allowing me to be part of it all. Hopefully this is the first of many more to come someday!

Thanks for looking!!
